Villagers of Ioannina City (V.I.C.) is a Greek band from Ioannina, formed in 2007, known for blending stoner/psychedelic rock with traditional Epirus folk music—featuring instruments like clarinet, kaval, bagpipe, and polyphonic vocals .

This is their debut full-length album, the title meaning “Root” in Greek It was released independently via Mantra Records

Features a blend of original compositions and modern stoner reinterpretations of Epirus folk songs, with authentic arrangements and performances and is known for extended, hypnotic jams like “St. Triad” and “Ti kako”, and emotive tracks such as “Krasi”, reflecting themes of love and migration
